Saturday we were lucky enough to find the amazing sh20 road, until recently it was unpaved but now its superb, plenty photo opportunities and eventually a border crossing again into Montenegro, it was qued but the locals told us to skip the queue which we did and then just got waved through which was different from other crossings, eventually we rode into Ulcinj which is on the coast, we had seen temperatures up to 38 degs and we were wabbit when we rolled into our digs, a B&b type place with a restaurant and apartments, the guy who met us told us to take a seat and gave us a beer on the house, it went down well!
Back into Montenegro for a couple of days then back to Albania and Lake Shkodar for our final night, very very hot. Today we headed back to Durres to catch our ferry back to Italy so I leave it there with some photos
So Italy tomorrow, keep on keeping on

I suppose riding in that heat for too long would make you look forward to some nice cool rain, but I'm enjoying looking at your photos of the sun-soaked countryside. ReplyDeleteSplendid! But a wee bit hot for a wuss like me, 25°C and I stop functioning very well, especially if the humidity is high. You might be safer staying over there, a caravan nicked this afternoon at 15:00 from the cottages at West Cultmalundy, spotted hitched up to a car leaving the farm road end onto the Tibber road! Honda Groms and other machines, being nicked at traffic lights by gangs of balaclava clad low life. Pull the key out, knock the rider off and give them a kicking, whilst the bike is spirited away. On the brighter side of life the SCMC run on 28th appeared to have all gone off well, with a large number of bikes in attendance. Unfortunately, missed it. Hey! Ho! Good health, Bill and Kat
