A few days in Hanoi

Hanoi seems to be very different from Saigon, well at least the parts we have seen, it seems "more Authentic" I have taken a few photos as we wandered along including the famous Train street (interesting) and Ho Chi Mins Mausoleum, he is deeply revered by the people still as the Father of Vietnam . I was having a beer in the cafe round the corner from my digs the other night when I saw what I thought was an accident, less than 50 metres away, two guys on bikes sandwiched another guy between them, lots of shouting and a bit of a slap across the face to the guy who was trapped, then they got him on the floor and the handcuffs went on. It was a drugs bust by Undercover Police, I was told to stop filming which I did , withing minutes several other undercover cops came along and started to search the boys scooter and the surrounding area. Eventually two undercover cops and the handcuffed prisoner all left on one scooter to the police station, all whilst I had a beer, what a night! I am beginning to like Hanoi, next week Japan which I hope will be more gentile.
