We haven't been idle though , All Roads Lead to the Moon Episode 5 is here for your enjoyment & Comments. Tomorrow, all going well we march closer to the Equator, currently at 3 Degrees South & Counting.

  2. Hola Fiona & Gino,
That millipede, with pink/red legs you took an image of is written about here:
    http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=3CTf8bnlndwC&pg=PA145&lpg=PA145&dq=south+american+millipedes&source=bl&ots=87oI4DDtDN&sig=1YFSRTTmBS6i_2Po5F_bDRFxih0&hl=en&sa=X&ei=b8YzUZfTCNHK0AWV3IGQBw&ved=0CHQQ6AEwDA#v=onepage&q=south%20american%20millipedes&f=false
On page 145 at the bottom of the left-hand column. The whole chapter from page 144 - 146 is nae a bad read and the 'Chemical warfare' capabilities could prove interesting! Many of these millipedes have not been named, so you could find a new species on your travels! Latin names for a millipede named after Gino! I'm no going there, but see that you might after a wee snifter. ;¬)
Good health and cross to the North side, safe.
    Regards, Bill.

  4. Hello you pair. Enjoying the blog. I was disappointed to read recently that the 'fact' of water flowing clockwise and anti-clockwise down drains North and South of the equator is another urban myth, so don't waste hours of your lives pouring water through various orifices as I would have done, in the futile hope of such a revelation.. http://www.snopes.com/science/coriolis.asp
Watch out for those Gionapedes... Vicious things.
    best, Jake

    1. Hi Malky, we were going to put a comment in about the cell planning thing but our non Cellular followers wouldn't understand, the stone Compass is more acurate that some used by our planners over the years! Having a great time (although struggling with the grub, I'll market it it when I get back as the South America diet!
      Cheers

  8. Just watched your latest vid - keep them coming! If nothing else it's making all of us here in the snow jealous. Amazing countryside your going through, not too sure about the singing by the women on the reed islands though.
