Classic club meeting

Firstly I have to admit I wasn't on the bike, even though we both wanted to go and get some banter, none of us could face getting wet or more importantly getting our gear wet as we are heading off soon for a wee adventure. Nonetheless several guys and girls braved the very heavy rain to turn up at Muckart for a club night. It was burger night at the Inn and I was looking forward to a tasty burger for my dinner, what I got was something else, not even a hint of salad, I thought Scottish cuisine had got beyond a burger on a roll with a handful of chips, obviously not or maybe they have heard about the politicians taxing tomatoes and lettuce soon and have decided to save us from ourselves. Anyway it was a good night with plenty of banter and well worth going, not sorry I didn't take the bikes, we have plenty more opportunities to try out our waterproofs soon enough.

Mike's nice Le Mans (and wet helmet)

Not a brilliant Summer

Funny enough I was looking at my blog from this time last year and guess what? Yes the weather was crap then as well, I suppose we will have to hold out for an Indian Summer!

Although we ride all year round the constant threat of crap weather in the Summer makes me feel less inclined to get out and get the bikes dirty. The tourist traffic is showing no sign of slowing down yet although we were up in Aberfeldy on this latest bank holiday Monday (Checking out our Norton layby) and on the road home all the layby's were empty at the bridge at the Sma glen so maybe that's a sign? Not much happening though , some work on the Mk3 Lemans to put another seat and mudguard on it which took a lot longer than I thought but I'm pleased with the result. Apart from that and getting depressed with all the terrible news coming out it has been quiet ( I need to stop looking at the papers and the BBC!)

Anyhoo we have a fair bit on this next couple of weeks, plenty motorcycling on the modern Guzzis and the not so modern Nortons so stay tuned, some photos to prove I have been on a bike recently.......

Oh and a photo of my Spada which is hiding in my uncles garage , I need to something about it soon, sell it or do a resto, not sure yet, answers on a postcard to my address.......

S&T Vintage run

Saturday was a good day, a hint of rain which manifested itself onto a few drops on the Visor. I got to Cultybraggan before most of the bikes came back so managed to get a few photos. Everybody seemed to have a good time and the sun helped I think. For me it was good to catch up with everybody and by the time I had left I still  missed out some people so I will catch up the next time, it was also good to see so many Velo's all of which seemed to start! I really must make an effort to get mines reliable before the winter.

Great day out and good to see everyone , until the next time..... BTW if you see yourself on here I have the full fat photos and I will be glad to email them to you , get in touch (But be warned they are big at almost 30MB each)
