Busy times

I have been a bit slack on the blogging front lately but its been very busy, I'm in the midst of building a new workshop (well other people are doing the expert bit and I'm the dogsbody) However there has been a small amount of motorcycling going on, last weekend the Vintage club had a small Breakfast meet at the Tay bridge which I went along to, it was hot! The weather has been incredible for the last three weeks here and after a long winter its been needed. The Small breakfast was in memory of Dundee man Gordon Small, Editor at DC Thomson and at one time his pet was the fantastic Motorcycling Legends magazine, Gordon was a super nice guy and always made sure local motorcycle racers got plenty coverage in the Courier and Evening Telegraph when they were looking for sponsorship, he is still missed and remembered. A good turnout to eat bacon rolls and drink tea, I had a nice run back along the Tay in North Fife, a glorious day. That evening our friends from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sandra and Javier from Dakar Motos appeared to stay for a couple of days on their UK tour, nice to catch up and swap travel stories. More workshop building meant the only run we had today was to Tullybannocher for a late breakfast, still hot but feeling a bit thundery. All good, photos tell the story better than I can. As a footnote the Isle of Man TT is on now and the coverage on Manx Radio is brilliant, close your eyes and you could be there! Sadly Manxman Dan Kneen was taken from us on Wednesday night in practice, a real nice guy and a huge loss to the road racing community, RIP Dan.

  1. Aye Fiona and Gino, I thought so, gave you a wave in the passing at Tullybannocher, but you looked deep in conversation, so didn't disturb! ;¬) Pleased to read the workshop is progressing apace, hope it's water tight afore the weather breaks. Agreed, a scunner about Dan and Adam, RIP.

Good health to you both, Myreside
